*The Book List

The selection of reading is determined by the applicant as relevant to the chosen field of study.  This is an opportunity not only to explore new material, expanding the student’s knowledge base, but to revisit familiar works for deeper analysis.  Books previously read may be applied to the degree or certificate program. Please contact the Institute for guidance, if necessary.

Please note: PhDs granted by the Bliss-Parsons Institute are not accredited (as yet) by the Federal Secretary of Education. What this means is that if you attempt to use your PhD as a resume reference for obtaining employment within the public school system, or federal employment, it will probably not be accepted. However, please also note that most degrees in Metaphysics – even from more mainstream institutions and colleges – are not accredited either, and many from Christian colleges are also not accredited. At some point in the future as our programs evolve the Institute will be seeking accreditation. It will allow you to add “Dr.” to your name and to your correspondence. You should be proud of your accomplishment; the acquisition of any higher degree shows great responsibility on anyone’s part.
